During our recent family visit to the Rectory, we found it to be a welcoming haven for all ages, particularly for my 92-year-old mother-in-law and our young daughter. Our accommodation included adjacent ground-floor rooms that provided comfort and accessibility. The twin beds for the little one and a double bed for ourselves suited our family perfectly. We appreciated the flexibility of the code system for check-in, which relieved the pressure of adhering to a strict timeline, especially since we travelled from Devon for a family gathering. Breakfast was an enjoyable experience; the staff catered kindly to my gluten-free needs while offering a selection that pleased the entire family. While the charming decor and cleanliness of the property stood out, some elements could be improved, such as the mirror placement which made hair-drying somewhat inconvenient. We loved exploring the nearby park and taking short walks into town, which allowed us to soak in the local atmosphere. The addition of luggage and bike storage is a thoughtful touch for families looking to make the most of their stay. The Rectory offered a comfortable and accommodating experience, ideal for families seeking a peaceful getaway.
